Rehabilitation of Homeless Children: HC seeks govt report on steps taken

The High Court yesterday asked the Ministry of Women and Children Affairs to submit a report on steps taken by the government for rehabilitation of homeless children across the country, within 40 days.

An HC bench gave the order while hearing a petition filed by SC lawyer Md Moniruzzaman, seeking orders for legal action against a perpetrator who set a homeless child on fire in Fakirerpool area on Monday. The court also ordered Motijheel police to file a case in this connection.
