Rawshan Ara passes away

Rawshan Ara Wahed, a close relative of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, passed away from old-age complications yesterday at her Fatehpur village residence in Rangpur's Pirganj upazila, at age 80. 

She breathed her last around 4:30am.

Rawshan was an advisory body member of Rangpur AL and former president of Pirganj upazila AL. She left behind two sons, two daughters, grandchildren and numerous well-wishers to mourn her death.

She was the wife of late Abdul Wahed, elder brother of eminent nuclear scientist and Sheikh Hasina's husband late MA Wazed.

Her first namaz-e-janaza was held at Pirganj Government High School ground yesterday. She was buried at a family graveyard after another prayer at Fatehpur Joysadan premises later in the afternoon.
