Raisul Haq Bahar’s 2nd death anniv

Today is the second death anniversary of freedom fighter and journalist AKM Raisul Haq Bahar.

On this day in 2018, Raisul died from sudden cardiac arrest at age 66.

During the Liberation War, Bahar was a guerilla commander and led many operations in Chattogram. A former accountant of Chattogram Port, Bahar started his career in journalism with local daily Sebok in the '80s.

He was Chattogram bureau chief of The Daily Star and also served as assistant editor at Daily Suprabhat Bangladesh.
