Provide better services to people

State Minister Nasrul Hamid asks ministry officials

State Minister for Power, Energy and Mineral Resources Nasrul Hamid has asked the officials and employees of his ministry to work sincerely to ensure better services to people.

“Respond promptly to complaints lodged by people and resolve those with sincerity,” he said while addressing a discussion organised by Bangladesh Power Development Board (PDB) at the Bidyut Bhaban in the capital yesterday.

PDB arranged the discussion marking National Mourning Day and 44th martyrdom anniversary of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.

Various government and private organisations are marking the occasion through month-long programmes across the country.

The state minister said Bangabandhu had framed the country’s constitution within 10 months of independence and made it effective. “The Father of the Nation had laid emphasis on human resources development by adopting a modern and science-based education policy. That was a great success.”

Nasrul also said Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has presented Vision 2021, Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) 2030 and Vision 2041 to transform Bangladesh into a developed nation.

“She has also adopted the Delta Plan 2100 to develop the country as a secured delta,” he said, underscoring the need for taking a vow to work diligently to implement her plan.

The event was also addressed by Power Secretary Dr Ahmad Kaikaus, PDB Chairman Khaled Mahmood and PDB’s Sports and Cultural Committee head Md Zahirul Haque.
