Prime Bank Foundation: Stipends provided to underprivileged students

Prime Bank Foundation organised a programme on Saturday at LGED Bhaban in the capital’s Agargaon to hand over stipends to underprivileged meritorious students who want to continue their education but cannot due to financial constraints.  

The stipends were provided under the foundation’s “Education Support Programme”, says a press release.

Bangladesh Bank Governor Fazle Kabir was the chief guest, and Prime Bank Chairperson Azam Chowdhury presided over the ceremony.

Mafiz Ahmed Bhuiyan, the foundation’s chairperson, delivered the welcome address, and Rahel Ahmed, managing director and CEO of Prime Bank, made the closing remarks.

This year, 263 students of the country will receive stipends of Tk 2,600 per month, which will continue to be provided till the end of their studies. Students from all 64 districts who are pursuing graduation level studies are getting the stipends.
