The country’s police force has largely become people-friendly now, Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal said today.

The minister came up with the remarks during a courtesy call made by the newly-elected committee members of the Bangladesh Crime Reporters' Association (CRAB) at his ministry office today, says a press release.

While talking to reporters, he commended journalists for reporting on different crimes, irregularities and forgeries, putting their lives at risk. He said when certain things escape the law enforcers’ eye, journalists bring those forward.

He urged the newsmen to assist the law enforcers in discharging their duties.
