Passenger river vessels won’t carry motorcycles

Bangladesh Inland Water Transport Authority (BIWTA) today said it will not allow motorcycle on any passenger-carrying river vessels from Dhaka’s Sadarghat Launch Terminal to ensure hassle-free journey for Eid holidaymakers.

The ban will be effective from today, BIWTA joint director Alamgir Kabir told The Daily Star.

Eid-ul-Azha will be celebrated across the country on August 12.
