Opportunities sought for girls, women in science

Bangladesh has called for creating opportunities for girls and women in science to ensure inclusive “green growth” and remove inequality in research domains.

Bangladesh's Permanent Representative to the United Nations Masud Bin Momen made the call while addressing the first panel discussion titled “Assessment of Investment in Women and Girls for Inclusive Green Growth”, marking International Day for Women and Girls in Science in New York on Monday.

UN member states, NGOs and civil society together with UN system celebrated the day, said a press release of the Bangladesh Permanent Mission in New York.
