One-stop service for elderly, disabled at BCC

Barishal City Corporation (BCC) has introduced a one-stop service for senior citizens and persons with disabilities recently at Nagar Bhaban in the city.

“We undertook this initiative to bring BCC’s utility and other services under one umbrella for the elderly and persons with disabilities,” said Israil Hossain, chief executive officer of BCC.

Faizul Islam Rafi, in-charge of the centre, said around 9-10 people avail their services every day. “We try to make the processes as smooth as possible.”

Al-amin Khan, a differently abled man, visited BCC to get a new holding number. He expressed satisfaction over the service and said it was very helpful as he did not have to visit multiple offices to get a signature.
