N'ganj Gas Explosion: Another victim dies

One more victim of Narayanganj gas explosion died at Dhaka Medical College Hospital yesterday.

Fatema Akhter, 35, succumbed to her injuries at the burn unit of the hospital, Dr Partha Shankar Paul, a resident surgeon of the unit, confirmed it to The Daily Star.

Earlier on Sunday, Fatema's five-year-old son Safwan died at the hospital from burns.

Four members of a family -- including the two -- suffered burns in the explosion believed to be caused from a leak in gas pipeline at their house in Fatullah area on Saturday.

The other injured – Safwan's sister Faria Akhter, 9, and brother Rafi, 11 -- were undergoing treatment at the burn unit of the hospital with around 90 percent burns, DMCH police quoted a doctor as saying.
