New secretaries to PM appointed

Awami League's Deputy Office Secretary Biplab Barua and Agriculturist Moshiur Rahman have been appointed as special assistants to Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.

Hasan Jahid Tusher has been appointed as deputy press secretary to Sheikh Hasina, also the president of the ruling Awami League.

Meanwhile, Gazi Hafizur Rahman has been appointed as assistant personal secretary-2 and Md Arifuzzaman Nurnabi assignment officer to the PM.

In line with the directive of President Abdul Hamid, the Ministry of Public Administration issued separate circulars yesterday evening to make the appointments effective immediately.

Their appointments will be valid until the PM's tenure or as per her discretion.
