Naripokkho condemns Buddhist temple vandalism

Condemning the attack on a Buddhist temple in Khagrachhari on October 22, Naripokkho in a statement yesterday said a judicial investigation should be conducted to find out and punish those behind the incident.

Miscreants vandalised Jatobon Buddhist Temple and a seven-foot Buddha statue at Kukichhara village in Guimara upazila on Monday night, a day before Prabarana Purnima.

In a democracy, it is the duty of the government to ensure security for all, irrespective of their caste and creed, the statement added.
