Mujib Borsho: Special souvenir to be published

The work on publishing a special souvenir marking Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman’s birth centenary celebration is going on in full swing.

The information was revealed yesterday at a meeting on publication of the souvenir at the International Mother Language Institute in the city, said a press release.

Chairman of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Birth Centenary Celebration National Implementation Committee Prof Rafiqul Islam presided over the meeting, while chief coordinator of the committee Dr Kamal Abdul Naser Chowdhury moderated it.

Rafiqul Islam said Bangabandhu’s daughter Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has consented to edit the souvenir.

Kamal Abdul Naser Chowdhury said they have requested renowned authors to send articles on the life and work of Bangabandhu, and they have received many articles already.

Participants of the meeting expressed the hope that the souvenir will be published within a few months.

Former finance minister AMA Muhith, National Professor Anisuzzaman and Prof Shamsuzzaman were present.
