Man held with gold at Ctg airport

Customs officials detained a man with 698 grammes of gold worth Tk 30 lakh at Shah Amanat International Airport in Chattogram yesterday.

Jahidul Islam was a passenger of Regent Airways, coming from Muscat, said Nasir Uddin Mahmood Khan, assistant commissioner of Chattogram Customs House.

He said they found the gold inside a nut grinder while scanning Jahidul's luggage.
