Man brutally murdered in Cumilla

A man was brutally murdered and dismembered at Naotola area of Cumilla’s Chandina upazila early yesterday. 

The deceased was identified as Nasir Uddin (26) from the area. He was married and had a daughter.

Nasir’s father Rabiullah works as a night guard and runs a small shop. In absence of his father, Nasir used to fill in as the shopkeeper and guard.

Yesterday morning, Rabiullah went to his shop and saw it covered in blood. After searching, he found Nasir’s dismembered body beside the highway near the shop.

Abul Faisal, officer-in-charge of Chandina Police Station, said, “We recovered his body and sent it for autopsy to Cumilla Medical College morgue.”

“We are investigating the matter,” he added.
