Man arrested with heroin

Rapid Action Battalion (Rab) arrested an alleged drug dealer with two kilograms of heroin from Rajshahi's Godagari upazila on Saturday.

The arrestee, Kiron Hossain, 40, son of Jafar Ahmed, is a resident of Arambagh area of Chapainawabganj Sadar municipality.

Camp Commander of Rab-5 in Chapainawabganj ASP Azmal Hossain said, on secret information, a team of Rab-5 raided Basudebpur area around 1:00pm.

Later, seeing Kiron's suspicious movement they detained him and recovered two kilograms of heroin from his possession.

During primary interrogation, Kiron confessed that he had been involved in drug trading for long.

After filing of a case in this regard, the arrestee was handed over to Godagari Police Station, the ASP said.
