Lightning kills 2

Two people were killed and two were injured after a lightning bolt struck them at Anforer Danga area of Sylhet's Gowainghat upazila early yesterday. 

The deceased are Moyna Miah (26) and Nur Miah (52), from the upazila.

Injured Jalal Uddin and Amir Uddin are undergoing treatment at Sylhet MAG Osmani Medical College Hospital.

Abdul Ahad, OC of Gowainghat Police Station, said police recovered the bodies.

UNO Nazmus Sakib said families of the deceased were given Tk 20,000 each to bear funeral expenses.
