LA Chowdhury road unveiled in port city

The lane between Dewanbazar Didar Market and C&B Bridge in port city has been named after renowned social leader and educationist LA Chowdhury.  

Chattogram City Corporation Mayor AJM Nasir Uddin, while inaugurating "LA Chowdhury Shorok", urged the present generation to follow the ideals of LA Chowdhury and devote themselves to social work and educational activities.

LA Chowdhury was a social leader, educationist, philanthropist and politician. He contributed towards establishing various educational institutions and social organisations.

Former MP Sabiha Musa, Ispahani Public School and College Principal Prof Hasina Zakaria and freedom fighter Abdullah Al Raihan spoke at the event.
