Khaleda's petition hearing deferred

The High Court yesterday once again deferred the hearing on a writ petition filed by BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia seeking a directive on the government to send her to United Hospital in Dhaka for treatment.

The bench of Justice Sheikh Hassan Arif and Justice Ahmed Sohel did not hear the petition after Khaleda's lawyer Barrister Kayser Kamal prayed to the court not to hold hearing on the petition.

The writ petition was filed by Khaleda Zia on September 9.

The hearing had been deferred two times by the same bench, following prayers moved by Barrister Kayser Kamal.
