JU admission tests begin today

Admission tests for honours programmes of Jahangirnagar University (JU) will begin today and continue till October 1.

A total of 3,59,962 students will be vying for 1,889 seats under six faculties and three institutes of the university.

Abu Hassan, a member secretary of the university’s central admission test committee, said the number of applicants this year is higher than previous year’s.

“The tests of each unit will take place from 9am to 5:40pm,” he added.

According to the schedule, the test for A unit (Faculty of Mathematical and Physical Sciences) will be held today and tomorrow, while H unit (Institute of Information and Technology) test will take place tomorrow.

Calculators, mobile phones and electronic devices are prohibited in the examination halls.
