JCI East initiates #sheLeads

Female entrepreneurs and professionals of today will be the future of a prosperous Bangladesh, speakers said at a discussion on Saturday.

Three panel discussions were held at City Alo Centre, where the panelists shared their experiences and reflected on the challenges faced by women at workplaces, said a press release.

They were addressing an event titled “#sheLeads”, an initiative of JCI Dhaka East held in association with City Alo, at the capital.

JCI Dhaka East organised the event to recognise and promote women entrepreneurship and acknowledge their contributions to the business revolution in Bangladesh.

Kashfia Farhin, convener of the event, presented welcome address while Asib Akram Auvi, local president of JCI Dhaka East, delivered the keynote speech.

Talking at the event, Mariam Javed Juhi, head of City Alo, expressed hope that through this new venture women entrepreneurs and professionals will be able to avail all necessary financial support needed for their professional goals.

Irfan Islam, national president of JCI Bangladesh, and Mahmud Un Nabi, director of JCI Bangladesh, also spoke at the event, while Ismat Jahan, vice president of JCI Bangladesh; and Erfan Haque, secretary general of JCI Bangladesh, were present.
