India yesterday handed over the third instalment of emergency medical assistance consisting of 30,000 RT-PCR Covid-19 test kits to Bangladesh.

Indian High Commissioner Riva Ganguly Das handed the kits to Bangladesh Foreign Minister AK Abdul Momen.

These test kits are manufactured in India and are widely used there for Covid-19 detection, says a statement of the Indian High Commission.

Riva Ganguly stressed that Bangladesh is the first partner country to receive test kits on priority basis, and said this reflects the importance of the bilateral relationship by India.

The kits were dispatched to IEDCR, under the Saarc Covid-19 Emergency Fund created by initiative of Indian PM Narendra Modi.
