‘Greta Green Global Day’ at IUB

A daylong event titled “Greta Green Global Day” was recently held at Independent University, Bangladesh (IUB) on the university campus in Dhaka’s Bashundhara residential area, said a press release.

The event was organised by Global Studies and Governance (GSG) programme of the School of Liberal Arts and Social Sciences at IUB.

The main focuses of the event were environmental and developmental issues. GSG arranged different programmes like a students’ speech contest, roundtable about the Bay of Bengal, and cultural show.

In the speech competition, contestants put the spotlight on environmental degradation in the country and urged the government to address the issue seriously and immediately.

Students, members of the faculty and administration of the university along with distinguished guests were present at the event.
