Grenade, 28 bullets found in Paltan dustbin

Police recovered a grenade and 28 bullets from inside a dustbin in Dhaka’s Paltan area early today.

No one is arrested in this connection, said Ayesha Akter, a sub-inspector of Paltan Police Station.

On information that grenade and 28 bullets were found in a dustbin, police rushed the spot at Bijaynagar in Paltan and recovered those at midnight, SI Ayesha said.

Members of a bomb disposal unit later deactivated the grenade, she added.
