Garment worker goes missing in Shitalakkhya river

A garment worker remains missing after he fell from a trawler in the Shitalakkhya river in Narayanganj today.

The incident happened when a trawler carrying some garment workers was crossing the river in Hajiganj area around 10:00am, our Narayanganaj correspondent reports.

Saddam Hossain (25) fell from the trawler when it took a turn in the river, Narayanganj Fire Service and Civil Defence Deputy Assistant Director Abdullah Al Arefin said.

Since then he remains missing, the official said adding that rescue operation will go on until the rescuers find him.
