Freeze ex-DIG Bazlur’s bank accounts: Court to ACC

A Dhaka court yesterday ordered Anti-Corruption Commission to freeze two bank accounts of suspended DIG of Prisons Bazlur Rashid, in a case filed for amassing Tk 3.08 crore beyond known sources of income.

It also ordered confiscation of 108.50 decimal of property in Jamalpur and a 2,981sqft flat at the capital's Siddheshwari belonging to Bazlur.

Judge Md Iqbal Hossain of Special Judge's Court-5 of Dhaka passed the order. He also rejected a bail petition of Rashid yesterday.
