Fourth edition of Vaseline Healing Project kicks off

Unilever Bangladesh Limited, the only producer of pure Vaseline petroleum jelly in Bangladesh, is about to launch its “Vaseline Healing Project” for the fourth time, said a press release.

This initiative is an attempt to address and heal skin-related problems of underprivileged people in North Bengal.

Prevailing winds and low temperatures in the north make skin dry and rough during winter. People also face many other problems such as cracking of heels, rashes and epidemic diseases.

In order to combat such adversities, Vaseline launched its first healing campaign in North Bengal in 2016.

Actress Bipasha Hayat, brand ambassador for the project, will inaugurate it at Bashundhara City Shopping Complex today. Vaseline plans to set up facilities in 40 different places including Bashundhara City, where people will be able to donate a small jar of Vaseline. This year, donations will also be collected online through the e-commerce partner shajgoj.com.

The launch will be followed by a health camp, where underprivileged people will have access to free checkup by professional dermatologists. They will also be provided with jars of petroleum jelly collected at the touchpoints.
