Former vice president of Dhaka University Central Students' Union (Ducsu) Nurul Haque Nur was sued in another case filed with Kotwali Police Station last night.

The case was filed under the Women and Children Repression Prevention Act, said Mizanur Rahman, officer-in-charge of Kotwali Police Station.

The girl who earlier filed a case against him and six others with Lalbagh Police Station is the complainant of this case filed with Kotwali Police Station, Walid Hossain, deputy commissioner (Media) of DMP told The Daily Star.

The accused in the both cases are the same and were charged with rape, abetting rape and assassinating the complainant's character through posts targeting her on social media.

Yesterday morning, Nur, along with five members of Bangladesh Sadharon Chhatra Odhikar Songrokkhon Parishad, were made accused in the first case filed with Lalbagh Police Station.

According to the case statement, the complainant was allegedly raped by Hasan Al Mamun, convener of Bangladesh Sadharon Chhatra Odhikar Songrokkhon Parishad.

The victim in the case statement alleged that Mamun had promised to marry her but refused later on.

Nur in the name of arbitration over the matter "threatened her of character assassination through posts on social media", the case statement reads.
