Ex-lawmaker Sultana Rezwan passes away

Sultana Rezwan, a former lawmaker and wife of former minister late Rezwanul Haque Chowdhury, passed away at Dinajpur’s Abdur Rahim Medical College Hospital yesterday morning due to old age complications.   She was 77.

She was the daughter of Hajee Mohammad Danesh, a renowned leader of the historic Tebhaga movement.

Her first namaz-e-janaza will be held on Balubari Shatadal Club premises in Dinajpur at 10am today.

She will then be taken to Thakurgaon and her second namaz-e-janaza is scheduled to be held after Zohr prayers the same day.

She will be buried at her family graveyard at Balia Sonapatila village in Thakurgaon Sadar upazila following the third namaz-e-janaza after Asr prayers.
