Ex-Jamaat MP Shahjahan held

Detectives arrested former Jamaat-e-Islami MP Shahjahan Chowdhury and other party leaders in the port city on Tuesday night.

A team of Detective Branch of police arrested Shahjahan and others from Chandanpur Darul Ulum Madrasa, said Chattogram Metropolitan Police Commissioner Md Mahabubor Rahman.

He said they were interrogating the arrestees. Shahjahan faces about 50 violence cases, police said.
