EVM demo held in Ctg-9

Officials of Chattogram regional election office yesterday gave a demonstration of electronic voting machine (EVM) in four venues under Chattogram-9 constituency in the port city.

The officials demonstrated the use of EVM and answered voters' queries, said election officer Munir Hossain Khan.

Munir said they would hold similar events in other areas of the constituency and take a mock voting, as the EC has decided to use EVM in Chattogrtam-9.

Awami League organising secretary Mohibul Hasan Chowdhury Nowfel and BNP Chattogram city unit president Shahadat Hossain are among 12 candidates vying for the seat in the national polls.
