Dr Serajul Huq passes away

Dr Syed Serajul Huq, a pioneer industrialist, passed away on Tuesday at Apollo Hospitals  Dhaka. He was 83 years old. 

He left behind his family to mourn his death. His namaz-e-janaza was held yesterday at Gulshan Azad Masjid after Asr prayers.

Serajul was a leader in the shipping industry. He was the chairperson of Sea Pearl Shipping Line Ltd, Saleh Steel Industries and Beaumond Apparels Ltd, among others.

He was also the vice chairperson of Union Insurance Ltd’s executive committee, a former director of Bangladesh Commerce Bank Ltd and trustee of Independent University, Bangladesh.

Relatives, friends and well-wishers are requested to pray for the salvation of Serajul’s departed soul.
