Dr Kamal Uddin passes away

Dr Kamal Uddin, a retired chief medical officer of Bangladesh Railway, died at a clinic in Chattogram city yesterday. He was 92.

He left his two sons, a daughter and a host of well-wishers to mourn his death, says a press release.

Former vice president of Bangladesh Medical Association, Chattogram chapter, Kamal Uddin was also member of Senior Doctors' Club, Ma o Shishu Hospital and Bangladesh Kidney Foundation, Chattogram.

While he was studying ISC in Kolkata Islamia College, he lived in the next room of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman in Bekar Hostel after 1946. He was personally known to Bangabandhu.
