Discussion on Sir Abed today

Gyantapas Abdur Razzaq Foundation is going to organise a discussion on the life and works of Brac founder Sir Fazle Hasan Abed today.

The event is scheduled to begin at Dhaka University's Professor Muzaffar Ahmed Chowdhury Auditorium at 4pm, said a press release.

Eminent economist Prof Rehman Sobhan, chairman of Centre for Policy Dialogue, will preside over the programme, where National Professor Jamilur Reza Choudhury will be present as the chief guest.

Besides, former governor of Bangladesh Bank Salehuddin Ahmed; Brac Chairperson Hossain Zillur Rahman; Campaign for Popular Education Executive Director Rasheda K Choudhury and several other distinguished personalities will also be present at the programme  to discuss Sir Abed’s contributions to the society.

Sir Abed, who passed away at a hospital in the city on December 20 last year, was also a member of the trustee board of Razzaq Foundation. Colleagues, friends, relatives and well-wishers of Sir Abed are requested to participate in the discussion, the press release said.
