DEATH OF ARITRY: Court seeks probe report by March 18

A Dhaka court yesterday again directed detectives to submit its probe report by March 18 in a case filed over the death of Aritry Adhikary in December last year. 

Metropolitan Magistrate Sadbir Yasir Ahsan Chowdhury passed the order after Detective Branch (DB) Inspector Kamrul Hassan Talukder failed to submit the report yesterday.

The ninth-grader, committed suicide in her home in Shantinagar on December 3, hours after she and her parents were allegedly humiliated by some teachers of the school.

The next day, Aritry's father Dilip Adhikary filed the case with Paltan Police Station against three teachers: Principal Nazneen Ferdous, morning shift in-charge Zinat Akhtar and Aritry’s class teacher Hasna Hena.

Hasna Hena was arrested by detectives on December 5, and later released on December 9 after securing a bail. On January 14 this year, the two others also got released on bail.
