Cuja elects new executive committee

Chittagong University Journalists’ Association (Cuja) yesterday elected its new executive body for the next year.

Abdullah Al Faisal of local daily Azadi was elected as president, Miraz Bappy of daily Bangladesh Barta as vice-president, and Jobaer Chowdhury of national daily Bonik Barta as general secretary.

The election was held at Chittagong University’s (CU) proctor office from 10am to 2pm.

CU Assistant Proctor Niaz Morshed conducted the polls as chief election commissioner.
