Corruptors won’t be spared: info minister

Information Minister Dr Hasan Mahmud yesterday said those found involved in corruption will not be spared.

He said drive against the corrupt, wrongdoers and drug dealers will continue.

“After the capital, the drive has already started in Chattogram city. It will take place in every nook and corner of the country,” Dr Hasan said.

The minister said this while inaugurating the “national television inter-school debate competition” of BTV Chattogram centre at Theater Institute of Chattogram in the afternoon.

About the competition, the minister said the present government believes in flourishing talents of students, and the importance of a logic-based society. He also emphasised the role of teachers and guardians in this regard.

Director General of BTV Harunur Rashid presided over the event where lawmaker Wasika Ayesha Khan, among others, spoke. A total of 48 debate teams, including 18 from Chattogram, are participating in the competition.
