Cops to interrogate BNP joint secy-general Sohel

Two Dhaka courts yesterday directed police to interrogate BNP Joint Secretary General Habibun Nabi Khan Sohel at the jail gate within ten days in connection with two cases filed against him in February and July for causing violence and obstructing police from discharging duties.

The courts of Metropolitan Magistrate Saiduzzaman Sharif and Sadbir Yeasir Ahsan Chowdhury passed separate orders directing police to interrogate Sohel at the jail gate, after he was produced before both courts with a seven-day remand prayer.

Meanwhile, Metropolitan Magistrate Saiduzzaman Sharif also ordered police to interrogate seven other BNP leaders and activists including Md Arifur Rahman, Md Abu Taher, SM Kabir, Md Fazlul Haque Moni, Nurul Huda, Md Aminul Islam and Md Emdadul Haque, in the violence case filed with Ramna Police Station in July.
