Construction of Padma Bridge is a bold move: Attorney General

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has taken a bold step to construct the Padma Bridge with the country's resources, Attorney General Mahbubey Alam said yesterday.

He was speaking as the chief guest at a rally at Louhajong Government College organised by upazila Awami League.

Due to conspiracy from a vested quarter, the construction of the bridge was almost stopped, he said.

“Now the Padma Bridge is being built with the country's own resources”, Mahbubey Alam said applauding the prime minister.

Louhajong upazila Awami League's Senior Vice-President Md Giasuddin Bepari presided over the rally while District Awami League's Deputy Publicity Secretary Tofazzal Hossain Tapan moderated it.  

Bangladesh Muktijodda Sangsad Command Council Secretary General (Finance and planning) Abul Bashar and Dhaka Medical College Teachers' Association President Prof Dr Abu Yusuf Fakir were present.
