Child dies accidentally strangled by rope in Dhaka

A nine-year-old boy today died by accidentally getting strangled with a rope while trying to make a swing in Darussalam area of Dhaka.

The deceased was identified as Johny Hossain, said Panna Akhter, maternal aunt of Johny.

The body of Johny was found lying on the floor of the bathroom of their residence after family members noticed that he was not responding from within and broke the door, she said.

The body was sent to Shaheed Suhrawardy Medical College morgue.

Johny's father passed away before his birth and mother works in Mauritius.
