Celebrating an age-old art

The 11th edition of National Potters’ Conference kicked off in Barishal city’s Ashwini Kumar Town Hall yesterday. Over 200 artisans gathered to exhibit their creations, and fourteen are being honoured for their contribution to the art of pottery. There was an art competition for children, while Barishal Mayor Serniabat Sadiq Abdullah got a hands-on experience of working with clay.
