Cash, valuables worth Tk 37 lakh stolen from Malibagh flat

Miscreants  stole gold ornaments, clothes, and cash worth around Tk 37 lakh from a Malibagh apartment in Dhaka on Sunday night.   

Prof Mohammad Harun Ur Rashid and his daughter Rokeya Mahmuda, residents  of “Nokshi Villa”, filed a  general diary with Shahjahanpur Police Station.

Prof Harun said the burglary occurred after he and his daughter went to sleep, leaving their master bedroom empty, as his wife had gone to their elder daughter’s home the previous day.

The following morning, Rokeya went to the room around 7am and saw its furniture and belongings scattered, while a window grille was broken. The family suspects miscreants may have entered by cutting the grille.
