BPSA elects new leaders

Chief of Special Branch and additional inspector general of police Md Monirul Islam has been elected president and deputy commissioner of Dhaka Metropolitan Police Md Asaduzzaman secretary of Bangladesh Police Service Association (BPSA).

Both of them were elected unopposed yesterday at the 41st annual general meeting of the association at Rajarbagh Police Lines Auditorium.

The 121-member committee of the BPSA was also formed in the AGM, according to a statement of police headquarters.

Inspector General of Police Benazir Ahmed was present there as chief guest with DMP commissioner and BPSA president Shafiqul Islam in the chair.

IGP Benazir said BPSA is playing a significant role in solving professional problems as an important organization for the members of the Police Cadre Service.
