Books on pathology and paediatrics launched

A book titled “A Text Book of Pathology”, written in Bangla by Prof Md Tahminur Rahman and Prof Hosne Ara Tahmin, was launched at Anwer Khan Modern Medical College auditorium in Dhaka on Sunday.

Prof Md Tahminur is an eminent pathologist while Prof Hosne Ara a retired principal of Dhaka Medical College, says a press release.

Environment, Forest and Climate Change Minister Md Shahab Uddin was present as chief guest at the publication ceremony with lawmaker Dr Anwer Hossain Khan, chairman of Anwer Khan Modern Medical College Hospital, in the chair.

National Professor Shahla Khatun attended the programme as special guest while Dhaka Medical College Principal Prof Abul Kalam Azad as the guest of honour.

The speakers lauded the authors for writing the book in Bangla, and hoped that doctors would benefit from it.

At the ceremony, another book titled “Essence of Paediatrics”, written by Anwer Khan Modern Medical College Principal Prof Md Ekhlasur Rahman, was launched.
