Body of deed writer recovered in Khulna

Police recovered the hanging body of a deed writer from Sonali village in Dumuria upazila of Khulna yesterday.

The deceased is Nirapod Debnath, 60. His body was found hanging from a tree behind his house.

Swapna Debnath, wife of the deceased, said on Monday, her husband visited various puja mandaps of the area. After having dinner at night, he went to another puja mandap at Sonali Government Primary School ground. On Tuesday morning, his hanging body was found.

Aminul Islam Biplob, officer-in-charge of Dumuria Police Station, said nothing can be said for certain before investigation.

The body was sent to Khulna Medical College Hospital morgue for autopsy.

An unnatural death case was filed.
