BNFE wins Chand Sultana Award 2018

Bureau of Non-Formal Education (BNFE) won the Chand Sultana Award 2018 for its outstanding contribution in the country’s education sector.

Dhaka Ahsania Mission conferred the award on BNFE on Saturday April 27, said a press release.

Zakir Hossain, state minister for primary and mass education ministry, handed over the award to Tapan Kumar Ghosh, director general of BNFE, at a ceremony held in the mission’s office in Dhaka, the release added.

Introduced in 2001, Chand Sultana Award is conferred annually on an individual or institution, to recognise their extraordinary contribution in fields of national development.

Speaking on the occasion, the state minister appreciated Dhaka Ahsania Mission for introducing the award and thanked its authorities for filling the need of a skilled and educated manpower sucessfully.

Kazi Rafiqul Alam and SM Khalilur Rahman, president and general secretary of the mission respectively, also spoke at the programme, the release also said.
