Awami League President Sheikh Hasina yesterday accused BNP of printing fake ballot papers and spreading money to win the polls and urged all to remain alert to its (BNP) conspiracies.

“BNP is printing fake ballot papers and spreading money to win polls. …find out where and in which presses they are printing such false ballot papers,” she said.

The prime minister was addressing election rallies in Chattogram, Cox's Bazar, Brahmanbaria and Pirojpur via videoconferencing from her Sudha Sadan residence at Dhaka's Dhanmondi in the afternoon.

The AL president said a BNP leader from London is orchestrating plots, while his cohorts are hatching conspiracies in the country to win the election through evil design.

Hasina said BNP is also engaged in conspiracies to put blame on Awami League by torching their own offices and vehicles.

She said people will have to stay alert so that BNP cannot unleash terrorist acts again. “People will have to resist it and their [BNP] plots cannot be allowed to be successful,” she said.

The premier said people want peace and they want to cast votes peacefully on December 30.

“On the other hand, BNP wants to snatch voting rights away from people, but their plots will not be successful if all remain careful,” she said.
