Bazlul Majid passes away

Valiant Freedom Fighter and renowned lawyer Md Bazlul Majid Chowdhury Khasru passed away in Sunamganj District Sadar Hospital yesterday. He was 69.

Born in April 2, 1952, he fought in the Liberation War as part of Shela sub-sector of Sector-5.

Besides his legal practise, Bazlul Majid was also a writer, journalist, and cultural and social activist. He was president of "Haor Bachao, Sunamganj Bachao", a rights body.

After a guard of honour, his janaza will he held today, before he is laid to rest.

As a journalist, he worked with Dainik Purbokone and Dainik Sangbad, and was advising editor of "Sunamganjer Khobor" till his demise.
