'Banglabid' crowns winners of season 2

The grand finale of knowledge-based reality show “Ispahani Mirzapore Banglabid Season 2” was held at the capital's Bangabandhu International Conference Center yesterday.

MM Ispahani Limited and Channel i jointly organised the event to inspire youths to use Bangla language in their everyday activities.

Deboshmita Saha was crowned the champion of the Bangla language-based competition, while Kareen Ashraf Een placed second, and Sadia Afroz Antu took the third position.

The winner of the contest got a scholarship worth Tk 10 lakh, while the first and second runners-up got scholarships of Tk 3 lakh and Tk 2 lakh respectively.

The show started with 53,000 participants in March, with six of them standing their ground in grand finale.

Zahida Ispahani, director of MM Ispahani Limited, and Mirza Ahmed Ispahani were special guests at the programme chaired by Faridur Reza Sagor, managing director of Channel i.

Author and Poet Anisul Hoque, Dhaka University's professor of Bangla Dr Soumitra Shekhar and media personality Tropa Mazumder were the judges of the nationwide contest.
