Ban Ki-moon meets Brac University VC

During his recent visit to Bangladesh, former UN secretary general Ban Ki-moon invited Brac University President and Vice-Chancellor Prof Vincent Chang to a breakfast meeting on July 10, says a press release.

They discussed global citizenship and opportunities for collaboration between Brac University and the Ban Ki-moon Centre for Global Citizens.

Prof Chang invited Ban Ki-moon, who is currently the chairman of the Global Commission on Adaptation, to visit Brac University and energise students to participate further in the global arena.

Based in Vienna, the Ban Ki-moon Centre for Global Citizens focuses on empowering youths and women.

Ban Ki-moon was in Dhaka to attend the Global Commission on Adaptation meeting, which was inaugurated by Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, and attended by dignitaries from around the world. This was the former secretary general’s first visit to Bangladesh after leaving the UN.
